The Live-Long Day

As the sun rises anew,
I wake up there, and I look at you.
In the morning, while you're still asleep
I'm glad that it's you with whom I get to keep.

And while it hangs in the noonday sky,
I think of you, and wish to be
In the same place as you,
In the same place with me.

And I get home from work,
In the waning hours,
I return to you,
Immediate love showers.

And as the sun rests it's weary head,
In the darkness, I find
I love to be the one with you;
In that fact, the fates are kind.
